In November 2002 for the first time in the history of Ukraine, the plant started manufacturing watches under the trademark KLEYNOD. The production program of the plant was launched with a watch dedicated to the flight into space of the first cosmonaut of independent Ukraine Leonid Kadenyuk.
The name of the trademark originates from the word “kleynod” (from German word “Кlеіnоdе” and Polish “Klejnot” - treasure, jewel), which means special signs of state power, symbols of the power of hetmans of Ukraine. The most famous hetman kleynod were mace, pernach, and bunchuk. Kleynods symbolized the victory and glory of their owners, their wisdom and special status. They were used as regalia and jewelry during celebrations and holidays.
A unique feature of the production of Kleynod wrist watches is the unique ratio of price and high quality standards.
The watches are assembled manually on the basis of reliable Swiss movements, stainless steel cases (grade 316L) with IPG gilding, have a 4-level principle of technical product control, use of the new generation of RONDA mechanisms and a 36-month warranty.
The assortment of Kleynod watches includes more than 200 models from five original collections: Kleynod Independence, Vyshyvanka, Kleynod Forces, Classic Collection, and football collection of Kleynod Forward and Kleynod Champion.
Today Kleynod has more than 30 points of sale in Ukraine: a brand store in Kyiv, an online store and trading partners, and since 2016 having entered the international market, watches are presented in Canada, USA, France, UK and Poland.
